If you're interested in taking on a lead role in a highly respected University then this might be the role for you!

I am currently recruiting for a Group Data Protection and Information Compliance Officer to join a University based in London. The role will involve these three main areas:

  • Data Protection
  • Freedom of Information
  • GDPR

The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas listed above and day to day duties will include:

  • Managing risk and all aspects of legal compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), the GDPR, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FoIA), the Environmental Information Regulations and related legislation
  • Managing any complaints about breaches of the DPA and FoIA and necessary response
  • Acting as the key contact point for the ICO and developing a constructive relationship with them

As this role is acting as Group Data Protection Officer, we are seeking candidates who already have this experience. Experience of working in a University is desirable but not essential.

Due to the current situation the role will be working from home. The role is for a period of 9 months to cover maternity.

On offer is an excellent competitive rate. The team is friendly and supportive, and the successful candidate can benefit from flexible working.
