Our reputable client based in Stoke on Trent is looking for a handyman to join their team on a Temporary basis, with the opportunity for a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities of the Handyman:

  • Fitting grab rails and stair rails
  • Moving and handling furniture
  • Completing simple plumbing works like replacing taps and resealing baths and sinks
  • Completing simple joinery work like building flat pack furniture, boxing in pipework, putting up curtain rails and shelving, fitting gates and fencing
  • Jet washing driveways, patios and decking
  • Installing security equipment like CCTV and key safes
  • External painting including garage doors, gates, railing and fencing
  • Complete care taking tasks at properties such as emptying bin chutes, water testing and changing light bulbs
  • Doing all this while putting customers at the heart of everything you do, helping them to feel safe and secure as you complete a job in their home

Essential criteria of the Handyman:

  • Any trade qualification would be desirable but not essential for this role
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working with older, disabled or vulnerable people
  • Practical skills in minor repairs, plumbing and joinery
  • Experience of manual handling and is knowledgeable about how to do it safely
  • Can use power tools
