Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit a permanent Head of Financial Reporting for a very successful and instantly recognisable financial services business based in Greater Manchester.
The business has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, adding new verticals to the business and will continue to do so following significant investment and by driving their strategic plan, delivering further improvements and changes that will make a real impact on the whole business.
Reporting into the Director of Finance, you will lead the Financial Reporting division alongside an outstanding team. You'll play a key role in taking the department to the next level, as the Head of Financial Reporting you will have advanced stakeholder management skills to lead Financial Control, Tax and Financial Reporting for the Group.
- Head up Statutory accounts and group reporting including glossy annual reports
- Design and build financial frameworks for Financial Reporting, Risk and Financial Controls
- Coordinating and drafting audit committee papers
- Provision of technical expertise for IFRS reporting - FRS102
- External financial reporting
- Build strong relationships & demonstrate your credibility when dealing with various internal business partners across all levels in finance and the executive teams.
To get going quickly as the Head of Financial Reporting, you'll need to have industry experience in financial reporting for a financial services company or listed business. We will look for you to show us you can lead financial reporting, have an understanding of Financial, Tax and Risk controls and ideally from an Audit background (ACA).
The successful applicant will ideally have significant experience in both Audit and Finrep from top 4 with industry experience in financial services. Additional experience in FRS102 and IFRS9 would be beneficial.
You will have evidence of having been the lead in group reporting for a financial services business or a listed business. You will be resilient and comfortable challenging and engaging internal business partners. Therefore, you will have to show experience of building and managing meaningful relationships with lots of different stakeholders at all levels, as you will be challenging the status quo.
