An excellent permanent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Legal within a dynamic, forward-thinking public-sector organisation in the heart of the North East. About the Head of Legal role:

For this opening of a Head of Legal ideally you will have had previous experience working within a fast pace working environment, handling a commercial caseload, and you will have an understanding of property and housing legal matters.

This executive opportunity will provide you with the chance to continue your professional development within a public sector organsiation, leading on all legal matters and contributing to growth and direction of the team. This role will bring challenge, leadership, team working opportunities and it will be highly rewarding.

The successful Head of Legal will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Delivery of legal and procurement services, providing advice where required
  • Management of an in-house procurement team
  • Representing the organisation at court and tribunals
  • Managing and controlling budgets
  • Contributing to strategic development plans
