Home Ownership Manager

Our client, a social housing organisation based in Lincolnshire, is recruiting for an experienced Homeownership Manager to join their team on an initial 3 month basis

Responsibilities of the Homeownership Manager include:

  • Managing a team of 2 Home Ownership Officers
  • Administering Preserved Right to Buy, Voluntary Right to Buy and Right to Acquire applications and sales in accordance with statutory timescales, legislation, policy and procedures
  • Processing all applications for Low Cost Home Ownership in line with company policy
  • Developing policies and procedures relating to the sales of land and property
  • Managing the sales process, ensuring value for money
  • Appointing consultants to provide valuations, surveys, or specialist reports and solicitors for the completion of legal transactions
  • Processing resales and nominations of Low Cost Home Ownership within the time periods defined with the lease
  • Ensuring customers are kept up to date with each stage of the process
  • Managing miscellaneous sales scheme on behalf on the organisation including properties for outright sale
  • Monitoring sales performance on sites and forecasting the cashflow of income and expenditure relating to sales
  • Producing monthly sales performance reports for the senior management teams

Essential criteria of the Homeownership Manager includes:

  • Experience of either selling shared ownership or statutory sales schemes, such as right to buy or right to acquire
