Opportunity for a lawyer with Housing Disrepair experience to join a well-regarded London Borough Council.

A popular London Council are looking for a Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their Housing Team on a 3-month locum contract with the view to extend. The Housing Disrepair Lawyer will work remotely so can be based anywhere in the UK.

The Housing Disrepair Lawyer will join a friendly and supportive team, working in a busy environment, handling their own caseload of housing law and disrepair matters. Work will include:

  • Managing a caseload of housing disrepair matters including
    • Negotiating costs
    • Pre-action protocol
    • Part 36 settlement agreements
  • Conducting advocacy in court
  • Instructing counsel
  • Drafting orders
  • Managing a caseload of possession matters

This role is a lovely opportunity to take on a Housing Disrepair Lawyer position within a busy team in a Central London Borough. The contract should be ongoing and will remain remote-working.

Previous experience of working within a local authority is preferable but not a requirement. This role could be a great opportunity for someone who's more junior or looking to get into local government as well as more experienced candidates.
