We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Lawyer to join a local authority based in the East England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Housing Lawyer to extend their current experience, while working within a supportive civil litigation team and earning a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will undertake duties such as:
- Defending applications to suspend warrants of eviction
- Dealing with Social Housing and Residential landlord and tenant matters
- Obtaining possession based upon anti- social behaviour grounds, false statement, Under occupancy and loss of secure status
- Advice and litigation on Succession issues
- Action in respect of leasehold disputes & Right to Buy
- Attending Magistrates Court
This role would suit a Housing Lawyer who holds experience in both Housing and Litigation matters. Flexible home working is available to the successful candidate.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and understanding of public housing law matters. Previous experience of working within a local authority is also desirable, however those with a private practice background will be strongly considered.
