There is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Housing Lawyer to work in a South London Borough. This is initially a 6 month locum role, with the view to be further extended.

The successful Assistant Housing Lawyer will be conducting advocacy and taking on a varied caseload of housing law matters, including:

  • Rent arrears possessions
  • Debt recovery
  • Housing matters
  • Advocacy at the County Court

Our client is looking for someone who has experience as a Housing Lawyer or someone who is newly qualified, provided they have good housing law experience. Local Government experience would be ideal but not essential. The Housing Lawyer will be required to attend court at least 3 times a week and will have to deal with up to 20 cases at a time in the County Court as part of the possession list so must have proven advocacy skills. Debt recovery experience would be a bonus.

There are some fantastic benefits for the Assistant Housing Lawyer role, such as:

  • Working from home 1 day a week
  • Great transport links
  • Friendly and supportive team
  • Close proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
