We are recruiting to an exciting opportunity closely within a London Borough Council as a locum Housing Lawyer.

This is a remote working role paying £30 per hour, umbrella rate. The assignment is a maternity cover until August 2022. Some court attendance will be required located within Central London.

The duties of this role will include but not limited to:

  • Drafting and filing legal documents in preparation for court
  • Preparing and managing case files
  • Providing legal advice on Leasehold Services
  • Representing the Council in County Court and First-tier Tribunal
  • Supervision of Legal Officer and Support Officer

My client is looking for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister, who has previous advocacy experience with relation to Housing Law. The successful candidate will ideally have some local government experience but they are flexible on the level of experience.

This is a great opportunity for somebody to work flexibly with a well-respected London Borough Council. Due to this role being a longer term contract, it allows for the successful Housing Lawyer to immerse themselves within the team and make a real difference.
