We are looking for a Lawyer to join the Housing Legal Team at local authority based in London on a contractual basis

As a Locum Housing Lawyer, you will be expected to manage a caseload of routine and non-routine legal matters with the minimum of supervision. Your daily workload will involve:

  • Disrepair cases
  • Possession claims
  • Housing litigation
  • Homelessness
  • Judicial Reviews

You may be asked to give advice on request for housing clients within the Council and also conduct advocacy on a rota basis, therefore experience of researching and presenting cogent legal arguments is desired.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or Cilex with extensive knowledge of housing law, in particular of public sector housing law, though previous local authority experience is not essential.
