Housing Lawyer required to join a Local Authority based in London for an initial 3 month period with the view of extension thereafter.
The successful Lawyer will undertake an all-encompassing Housing role, which will be a mixture of housing litigation, conducting advocacy, and providing specialist legal advice on a range of housing matters which may include;
- Nuisance and anti-social behaviour
- Debt recovery
- Benefits entitlement
- Human rights
- Housing policy/strategy
Additionally, any previous experience of handling matters relating to injunctions, leasehold issues, ASBOs, prosecutions, landlord and tenant, and other commercial litigation would be extremely beneficial, although not essential.
Candidates are welcomed from Private Practice, In-House or Local Authority backgrounds, making this a great opportunity to gain public sector experience.
