Housing Support Worker required to join a public sector organisation to cover properties within Barnsley

Key responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Making home visits to tenants
  • Supporting tenants with vulnerable needs including those with mental health and substance misuse issues
  • Dealing with low level ASB
  • Encouraging tenancy sustainment
  • Advising on rent arrears, benefits and housing
  • Signposting client to services and agencies within the community

Required skills and experience of the Housing Support Worker

  • A valid driving licence and own transport
  • An enhanced DBS is essential
