Housing Support Worker
Truro
Temporary, 3 months+
£13 Umbrella per hour

Our client, a reputable charity, is looking for an experienced Housing Support Workers to join their team on a full time, temporary basis.

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:

  • Supporting vulnerable clients with various complex needs, including those facing homelessness, mental health and substance misuse
  • Completing support plans and risk assessments
  • Supporting clients to live independently
  • Assisting clients in sustaining their tenancies
  • Making referrals to other agencies
  • Assisting with budgeting and claiming correct benefits
  • Working closely with third party agencies including; Social Services, Police, GP's Probation Services
  • Supporting the service user to access services in the community

Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker includes:

  • Experience of supporting a wired range of people from varying backgrounds with varying support needs is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant field
  • Knowledge and understanding of housing related support is essential
