Are you a Childcare Lawyer or Advocate looking for a new in-house advocacy role within an incredibly friendly and supportive team?
We have a great opportunity for a Childcare Lawyer to join a London Local Authority on a locum basis. Our client is looking for a Childcare Solicitor or Barrister with public care experience to take on an in-house advocacy role, dealing with the team's court work. Previous advocacy experience or experience as a barrister is therefore highly desirable.
The in-house Childcare Advocate will be required to conduct initial hearings, case management hearings, contested initial hearings, and Final Hearings. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with the Court.
Those with experience of working in a local authority are highly desirable due to the remote working nature of the role, but our client is also very interested in hearing from Childcare Lawyers from private practice, or Barristers, who have handled substantial public childcare matters in Court. Newly Qualified Lawyers will also be considered.
The role is mainly working from home for the moment due to the current pandemic but will involve office attendance once per week. Most Court hearings are currently remote but there will be instances where the cases are physcially heard in Court.
The Council are located conveniently nearby to transport links which allow for easy access from areas inside and outside of London. The client is also willing to consider some flexible working hours if necessary.
The successful childcare lawyer will join an established team who are friendly and supportive under the guidance of excellent leadership, and will benefit from a long term assignment.
