Great new opportunity for an enthusiastic and diligent Lawyer to join a small, friendly Housing Association on a permanent contract.
My client is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.
You will manage a caseload of claims against the Housing Association relating:
- Housing Disrepair Protocol
- Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Homes (Fit for Human Habitation) Act
You will manage these cases through the complete legal process and instruct appointed Legal representatives when necessary. In addition, you will work closely with the team's Disrepair Surveyor and appointed contractors to ensure agreed works are completed and may, from time to time, carry out other legal duties related to other areas of work within the organisation.
The successful Litigation Lawyer will have proven experience of relevant caseloads and a recognised practising certificate, you will have a thorough understanding of Housing Law and Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol, and an understanding of Civil Procedure Rules. An excellent negotiator and communicator, you will be at ease communicating with a variety of organisations and internal/external contacts.
In return you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension (currently 8%), excellent benefits including hybrid working and flexi time. You will also be part of the award-winning regeneration project!
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
