We are very happy to be recruiting for an experienced Information Governance Lawyer to join a large South London Borough Council. This is a locum contract with the view to last 12 months, reviewed on a tri-monthly basis.

This is an exciting new role that the Council are trialling and is not an opportunity to miss!

The Information Governance Lawyer will be leading on all Information Security matters for the Council.

The Information Governance Lawyer should be experienced in Information Security, particularly in matters such as GDPR, FOI/EIR, DPA, and RIPA. The Council will happily consider those who don't have experience in one of the aforementioned areas, so long as they are experienced in the other matters.

Information Governance Lawyers with local government experience are highly sought, but the Council will consider those from other backgrounds with transferable skills and knowledge.

This is a nice long-term assignment with a competitive rate; flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

The Information Governance Lawyer must be a solicitor, or equivalent.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
