Sellick Partnership are currently seeking an Information Governance Lawyer for a Local Authority based in the West Midlands. There will be 2 days of home working available for this role.

The successful Information Governance Lawyer is needed to join a team of 4 who are dedicated to handling all Information Governance matters on behalf of a large Local Authority.

This role will be varied and will give the successful candidate exposure to all areas of privacy and information governance law, other responsibilities may include:

  • Advising on information law relating to major sporting events and large transportation projects
  • Receiving instructions from directorates including the property, employment and contracts teams
  • Liaising with clients

It is essential that candidates are qualified lawyers and have experience in several of the areas of law listed below, including:

  • Data protection
  • GDPR
  • FOI
  • Confidentiality law
  • Environmental information regulations

This is a full-time position and is to start immediately for an initial period of 3 months although it is likely that the role will continue beyond that. There will be home working available for this position.

Our client's offices are centrally located and are easily accessible by public transport.
