A District Council based near Sussex are looking for an Information Governance Officer to work within the Legal Services team and be responsible for managing and monitoring public requests for information
As an Information Governance Officer you will be responsible for the coordination of requests for information, you will prepare written responses and liaise and train departments on the latest GDPR regulations. You will ensure the departments' knowledge are kept up to date, with any developments and legal requirements relating to Information Governance being relayed consistency. You will be the main point of contact for the Information Commissioner's Office, covering matters on investigations and enforcement action
A thorough understanding of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Data Protection Act 2018, General Data Protection Regulations and Environmental Information Regulations is essential. Candidates from a private practice and public sector background will be considered.
