Locum Information Governance Officer

Sellick Partnership are happy to be working with large local authority in the south east who are searching for a new Information Governance Officer.

The successful candidate will be working on an initial 3 month locum contract with the possibility of being extended further and will also be able to work remotely from home.

The Information Governance Role will pay £25-30 per hour depending on experience and the successful candidate will be working full time.

As an Information Governance Officer your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the Information Governance Manager in providing the following service:
  • Effective management of Information Governance matters, FOI requests and Data Protection SAR's within statutory timescales (where relevant) and reporting on performance across the Council departments.
  • Work with senior managers and staff to develop Information Governance statistics, policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice and support teams in implementing the same.
  • Assist teams to introduce and maintain robust arrangements to ensure the safety and security of personal information in digital and paper format.
  • Assist with investigations into complaints, incidents and breaches relating to the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and other Information Governance legislation.
  • Training and supporting teams regarding the processing of personal data.
  • Assist with development, implementation and reviews of all information governance policies and support teams to ensure compliance.
