An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Information Officer to join a public sector organisation in East Yorkshire.

Our client is seeking an Information Officer to join their organisation on a locum basis for a minimum period of 3 months whilst they recruit to a permanent vacancy within the team. The post holder will be the point of contact for the organisation in relation to data protection and freedom of information issues.

Day to day responsibilities of this locum position may include;

  • Reviewing data protection policies & ensuring that procedures and policies are clear, concise and compliant with relevant legislation
  • Advising on data protection matters and provide regular reports
  • Managing responses to Freedom of Information Act requests and subject access requests
  • Ensuring data protection audits and privacy impact assessments are undertaken as appropriate

This position is to start immediately and the successful candidate will ideally be able to work full-time hours.
