Sellick Partnership are recruiting for an Interim Director of Law and Governance to join a large authority in the West Midlands. The role is expected to last around 4 months, however there may be a possibility of extension.

As Interim Director of Law and Governance you will be the most senior solicitor in the Council and professional lead for legal services. You will also be responsible for the services of; democratic services, registrars, coroner service and elections.

We are looking for the Interim Director of Law and Governance to:

  • Be available to start no later than w/c 4th April
  • Be an experienced MO and qualified solicitor
  • Have exceptional diplomacy and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively

You will be rewarded with an excellent daily rate, and can work the role remotely however attendance to Cabinet meetings, full Council meetings (should be no more than once a month), as well as some ad-hoc senior management meetings.
