Interim Governance and Deputy Monitoring Officer is required to join a Local Authority based in the East Midlands for a 12 month period as a minimum on either a locum or fixed term contract basis.
Our client requires the successful candidate to undertake the following duties in relation to governance:
- DP/FOI requests and other information governance matters
- Member requests for information
- Understand and implement the constitution in relation to matters across the service
- Advising Cabinet and the Chief executive
- Deputising for the Monitoring officer
The client is keen to hear from individuals who have worked in a local government environment due to the level and nature of the position or those who have undertook this work in another capacity e.g. private practice for local government clients. The client would ideally like someone to have experience with either childcare, contracts or DP/FOI. You must be objective with difficult clients but also be polite in your manner.
Our client is happy to consider those with a DP/FOI background (information governance background) that is looking to expand their knowledge with corporate governance work. Candidates at varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply as the client is happy to look at developing a senior lawyer within this role.
This role is easily accessible from Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and the West Midlands alongside great transport links from London. Our client is happy to consider candidates who are seeking a part time role of 3 days a week as a minimum alongside home working or alternatively looking to condense their working hours.
