Democratic Services and Governance Manager required for an interim position at a Local Authority based in the Midlands.
The successful Democratic Services and Governance Manager will take on a varied workload, which may include:
- Contributing to the initiation, development and maintenance of administrative procedures and practices governing the work of the Governance service
- Minutes of meetings and general administrative tasks
- Complete Community Governance Reviews
- Act as the Scrutiny Officer
- Support and manage governance officers
It is not necessary for candidates to have previous management experience, although a good understanding of local govenment structures is required for this role.
This is a full-time position and is to start immediately. There is some scope for flexible hours and home working.
