Fantastic opportunity for a Junior Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join a busy London Borough Council in their well-regarded Commercial Team.
This role is initially a 3-month locum post with the view to extend onto a rolling contract basis.
The Junior Contracts Lawyer will work fully remotely for the foreseeable future but with loosening of covid restrictions, they will be able to work from the council offices if suitable.
The Commercial Team are really friendly and welcome, they'll make the Junior Lawyer feel like one of the team straight away, despite working remotely. The caseload will include drafting, amending and negotiating a variety of contracts, including: works and services, shard-services, GDPR, framework agreements, etc. The Junior Contracts Lawyer ill also handle procurement.
In terms of the experience, the Junior Contracts Lawyer should have public sector experience and experience in contracts and procurement. Newly-qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply, as are candidates from all backgrounds who have the relevant skillset and public sector experience. Legal qualifications are required.
