Are you a junior or newly-qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contracts and procurement?

We are looking to hear from candidates with experience in commercial contracts and procurement, ideally who've either trained or worked within local government, for a locum role with a London Borough Council.

The Junior Contracts Lawyer will join a friendly and supportive team of contracts lawyers, and will:

  • Draft, amend and negotiate contracts including:
    • Works, services and goods
    • Supplies
    • Framework agreements
  • Advise on EU Procurement
  • Liaise with and assist the client department

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior or newly qualified lawyer who has experience in this area of law to join a well-regarded team. The Junior Contracts Lawyer will be offered the necessary training and support, as well as getting exposure to interesting work and new matters.

Prior experience in contracts and procurement is a must; local authority experience is beneficial but not required if a sufficient awareness of local government procedure/legislation is demonstrated. Other public sector experience is a bonus too.

This role is remote working and in the future will offer a flexible hybrid of home and office based working. The contract will be locum ongoing so this could be a long-term opportunity for a Junior Contracts lawyer.

If you're interested please get in touch with Mila Casaus in our Manchester office to discuss.
