Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Lead Finance Analyst for a major retailer within their supply chain and logistics division. The role is to cover a secondment on a fixed term contract basis initially for 12 months. This main focus of the role is to support the Logistics and Commercial teams to provide key information regarding time, efficiencies, costs and wastage with the overall aim of optimising the commercial performance of the division. It requires strong modelling, data manipulation and experience of liaising closely with various stakeholders which are all vital to the success of the role. A background in Finance is essential as well as the ability to interpret budgetary and Management accounting information in order to advise non-finance staff.

The role of the Lead Finance Analyst:

The key accountabilities will include:-
* Complex data manipulation and data analysis
* Partnering non-finance staff to provide advice and present findings regarding the logistic activity and supply chain operation with particular focus on processes,
efficiencies, time monitoring, costs and delays in transit
* Full commercial and financial analysis with subsequent recommendations
* Ad-hoc project work to support decision making and reporting to senior management
* Presentation of findings to key stakeholders
* Provide commercial support to external supplier negotiations
* Support budgeting and forecasting, identifying risks and opportunities

The person

The successful applicant will have experience ideally in a multi faceted business and has liaised with operational, commercial and logistic divisions ie, non-finance staff. You will be comfortable in manipulating data with advanced excel skills and also translate complex information to non-finance staff. You will also be comfortable to challenge and implement change via improved efficiencies. The role would suit someone from a fast paced company background.
