I am seeking an experienced legal administration assistant to join the team of a large client of mine in central Birmingham. The role is to join a team of 40 staff, including legal administration, legal assistants and solicitors. This is an extremely busy team and you will need to be used to working in a fast paced environment. You must be diligent, efficient and used to paying attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in completing administration tasks, preferably from a legal or finance background. This is an important role in recovering monies owed to the client. You will be dealing with a very high volume of invoices and information, so must be able to work in an organised and efficient manner.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Managing the team's inbox
  • Responding to emails and logging all correspondence onto their internal system (ECLIPSE)
  • Accessing the legal database and then reconciling and processing invoices
  • Check all details are correct and liaising with legal assistants and solicitors if there are errors
  • Verifying all details and sending to accounts payable

The role will entail working remotely, although you will be required to attend the office for 1 day to collect equipment and undertake initial systems training. The client needs someone who can work a 5 day week and who is able to be very results and process driven. The successful candidate will be given full training and the process is simple to follow, you do not need to have previous experience in this field.

This is a locum role for an initial 3 month period, but could be extended further. Candidates must be available to start a new role at short notice.
