Legal Assistant

East Anglia

£ Competitive

Legal Assistant is required to join a local authority in East Anglia of England on an interim 3 month basis.

The successful candidate will support a busy team and will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive legal service.

Duties will include: drafting and completing routine court pleadings and paperwork, such as claim form, particulars of claim, witness statements and preparing court bundles. It will, also, involve arranging bundles, arranging sealing, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, instructing external solicitors, creating new matters, managing the legal admin inbox, assisting with client queries via email and telephone.

The work may include, both, contentious and non-contentious matters.

Candidates that have previous experience of drafting and advising on civil and debt related matters are required for this role and experience gained in either local government or private sector dispute resolution would be preferable.

Candidates will need to have obtained either a degree in law or an LPC and the client is happy to consider CILEX and qualified lawyers for the post.
