My client, a well-respected Local Authority, is looking for a Legal Assistant to join a friendly and supportive contracts team for a period of 3 months to 6 months with the potential to be extended.

The ideal candidate will be a recent Law Graduate who is eager to expand on their legal experience and to take on a new challenge.

As a Legal Assistant is it essential to have legal research experience, this will be beneficial when supporting a group of solicitors and working alongside other paralegals.

Duties include:

  • Providing legal advice and support to the council
  • Providing legal support to a team of solicitors
  • Preparing contracts for signing
  • Oversee legal completion
  • Carry a personal caseload of standard contracts
  • Legal research

This client is operating on a 'hybrid' remote operating basis, with attendance at the office of two days per week. Therefore, this role would be particularly well suited for candidates located in within a commutable distance of Nottingham.

The role is offered on a full-time basis and looking for an immediate start.
