Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Legal Case Progression Officer to join a great local authority based in the West Midlands.

As a Legal Case Progression Officer you will be able to thrive in a fast moving, high pressure environment with ever shifting priorities, and be able to work independently (as well as within the team) to ensure that deadlines are met in a smooth and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will take on a varied workload, including, but not exclusive to:

  • Liaising with the Family Court over directions
  • Responsible for the maintenance of a case tracking system by recording the progress and directions on all current care cases
  • Maintaining and recording key data from PLO/care cases
  • Drafting witness statements and care plans
  • Reviewing documents before submission to Legal Services
  • Supporting social workers involved in PLO and care cases
  • Attending court with solicitors

Our client is seeking candidates who are from a legal background, such as law graduates who have experience in a private-practice setting but are interested in child care proceedings in the public sector. Some familiarity with the system would be preferable but not essential.

This position is for 6 months initially, however, there is potential for the role continuing beyond that. The role is full-time and to start immediately.
