Sellick Partnership are currently assisting a Public Sector body with the recruitment of a Practice Manager to join their expanding Legal Services team on an initial locum or fixed-term contract which spans across three offices.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and developed Practice Manager who has worked within a legal setting to assist with the effective operation and running of the Legal Services department. The Legal Services department is a large organisation and thus requires someone to be office-based for at least 4 days per week. You will have direct management of three Principal Legal Secretaries who oversee a team of 20 staff and will directly report to the Director of Legal Services.
This fantastic role offers a real variety of duties so you will be constantly evolving within the role and will have the opportunity to further develop your skills as a Practice Manager. There will be some element of needing to travel across the three sites so you will need to be able to drive to access these sites.
Such duties include but are not limited to:
- Liaising with services and suppliers
- SRA Management
- Reviewing performance and management through reporting
- Assisting with recruitment and HR matters
- Assisting with LEXCEL accreditation
- Business Support generally
- Managing external client relationships
Our client is looking for someone who can be personable, adaptable and show a can-do attitude. You will have a friendly demeanour in order to build up strong relationships with the team and external stakeholders.
This role is ideally looking for someone to start ASAP so ideally those on short notice periods would be strongly considered however the role will be looking to move into a more permanent fixture so we welcome candidates on longer notices. Our client is happy to consider those who have worked within the Public Sector, In-house or Private Sector.
