My client is a large organisation based centrally in Birmingham, within easy reach from all transport networks. They are seeking a Legal Research Officer to join their risk and practice management team. As a legal research officer you will be tasked with keeping abreast of any legislative changes which could affect the wider legal team. You will be adept at managing a range of administrative and research based tasks simultaneously. You must be well organised and prompt in your communication with others. This role is ideal for someone who has worked as a legal librarian or legal secretary capacity previously, or anyone with well-honed research skills. Any experience in library administration tasks, such as those listed below, would be highly advantageous:
- Maintenance of databases
- Issues and returns
You must be able to communicate effectively with professionals across all levels, and will be offered the chance to conduct training in respect of online legal databases and internet research facilities such as West Law and Lawtel.
