Sellick Partnership are looking for a Legal Services Manager and Deputy Monitoring Officer to join a friendly, stable and experienced Local Authority team in the East Midlands. The Legal Services Manager post is to start in January 2020.

The ideal candidate for the Legal Services Manager post will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister that has previous experience managing a team within local authority. The candidate will also need to be able to pick up a caseload of Contracts OR Property matters. The role will involve:

  • Directly line managing a team of 10
  • Dealing with monthly financial reports
  • Reports to the Head of Service
  • Assisting in major projects work
  • Representing the Legal Services team at Committees
  • Dealing with Governance issues
  • Picking up Deputy MO duties
  • Recruiting for the team

The ideal candidate for the Legal Services Manager role will be available on a full time basis, however part time candidates will be considered.

The position is to start in January 2020 and will be for a period of 3 months initially, with a strong likelihood that it could be extended beyond this.
