Lettings Officer

Derby

12 month FTC

Full time, £24,000 per annum

Our client, a renowned social housing provider in Derby, is recruiting for two Lettings Officers to cover for maternity leave within their Lettings Team. They are currently trialling hybrid working, so the successful candidate will be able to split their time between their office in Derby and from home

Duties of the Lettings Officer:

  • Ensuring vacant properties are marketed effectively and in line with procedures, from receipt of termination, to the lettings of the property within targets
  • Arranging the advertising of homes on both internal and external platforms
  • Working closely with Local Authorities and void contractors to ensure properties are re-let as quickly as possible
  • Processing new customer applications and offers of housing, ensuring all necessary investigations and references are carried out
  • Organising viewings
  • Processing rent in advance or deposit payments

Criteria of the Lettings Officer:

  • Background within property management
  • Experience of a variety of property markets such as leasehold and shared ownership would be beneficial
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is desirable
