The Ministry of Justice is seeking a locum lawyer to join their in house team in central Birmingham. My client requires a litigation solicitor (or equivalent) to conduct litigation on their behalf. The role will be to work in an established team of litigators and inherit an existing caseload of matters.

Experience in Court of Protection and/or local authority work is a preference. Excellent technical legal skills, commensurate with post-qualification experience. You must have the ability to work at pace and meet challenging deadlines, which requires you to be flexible/adaptable. You must have a proven track record of setting priorities as the workload dictates. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. You must possess the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

* Applicants must be qualified to practise as a Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales
* Minimum 3 years experience in practice.

This role will offer a hybrid working model, with some office presence and some remote working. All IT equipment shall be provided by the end client.
