Sellick Partnership is pleased to be assisting an East Midlands Local Authority with recruitment to a permanent Principal Legal Officer role.
Our client is seeking a Principal Legal Officer to join their friendly, ambitious and forward thinking legal services team, to assist with a caseload of litigation matters.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Litigation Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent. Day to day responsibilities of the role may include;
- Civil Litigation - contract disputes, housing law matters, complex debt recovery
- Criminal Litigation - Planning enforcement, health and safety enforcement, environmental prosecutions
- Mentoring junior members of the team
The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with both civil and criminal litigation. Previous experience within the public sector is preferred but it is not essential.
