Sellick Partnership is currently working on an exclusive basis for a public sector organisation to assist with the recruitment of a Deputy Head of Legal. You will be joining their legal services team on an interim basis for a period of 3-6 months to start in June of this year whilst they undergo permanent recruitment.
The post has arisen due to the current postholder retiring. You will be joining an organisation that is currently bringing about transformation and commerciality. The anticipated business model will enable them to undertake work on behalf of other public sector organisations within the region. Our client is looking for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and is able to push business development opportunities as they see fit.
You will ideally have experience at a senior level with management responsibilities as you will be overseeing the dispute resolution, litigation and environment teams. You will ideally have a background in either of these areas to be able to support the teams on any high profile public matters. You will also be required to provide advice in relation to corporate governance matters.
This is a great role for someone who is keen to join an organisation whilst it is undergoing a period of change for the good. They will be looking to expand their legal services and develop new areas within the business. The organisation currently offers a flexible working policy and you have the option to work two days from home each week. There is also scope for this role to move on to a permanent contract as this vacancy currently remains open.
Candidates must be available to start in June and given the current situation surrounding COVID-19, this role may well be starting remotely in the first instance.
