Childcare Advocate is required to join a local authority based in the East Midlands for a period of 6 months and the view to extend to a rolling contract thereafter.
Our client is seeking an ambitious and eager Solicitor Advocate or Barrister who has a passion for undertaking advocacy on behalf of public childcare matters. You will be undertaking matters as part of a small advocates team for the childcare lawyers within the team. You will be solely undertaking advocacy for the team and with this being remote in the first instance but after the COVID19 situation, will be required to be in Court as much as needed with undertaking the more contentious matters to free up the childcare lawyers with their casework.
This authority have some interesting and complex matters which will excite someone who has a real passion for this area of work. There is also an opportunity to develop and grow the advocacy team as part of a longer term prospect for those who would be looking to do so.
The courts are located near the offices with a short walk and the offices are close to a train station. Due to the role being a pure advocacy role, there will be scope for this role to be mainly remote after COVID19 with the view to attend the offices on the odd occassion. Our client is happy to consider this position on either a part time or full time basis.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively, should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying, please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
