Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting to a fantastic opportunity for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join a well-respected local authority based in Lincolnshire.

The role will be for 6 to 9 months with the possibility of extension beyond that. This will be working remotely for the foreseeable future, but there may be an expectation of a limited office presence once government guidelines relax further. Full time would be their ideal, but they are open to hearing from Locums interested in part time working hours also.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor, Barrister or qualified Legal Executive with extensive public law childcare experience.

Main duties of the role will include:

  • Dealing with discharge of care orders, pre-proceedings and PLO's
  • Handling a caseload of care proceedings and conducting own advocacy if/when required
  • Providing advice on any public law childcare legislation
