We are currently recruiting for a locum childcare lawyer to join a Council based in central London.
Our client is looking for an experienced childcare lawyer to undertake child care work. The successful candidate will be working from home, but could also work from the Council offices when they reopen.
The ideal childcare lawyer will have a good eye for detail, and will understand how to conduct care proceedings cases with minimal support. The childcare lawyer will need to be able to work efficiently on a remote basis, and have the ability to pick up the case management. Supervision and support will be provided, but our client is ideally looking for someone who will be able to pick up a full caseload quickly.
The role will include handling:
- Conduct of 8-10 cases in care proceedings
- 3-5 cases in pre proceedings
- Providing ad hoc advice on other related matters on a duty rota
We are ideally seeking a candidate who has local authority experience but will also consider candidates who have handled public care work in private practice.
The childcare lawyer will join a friendly and supportive team who have an excellent reputation. The Council offices are serviced by excellent transport links and on offer is a competitive hourly rate.
