My client is seeking an experienced childcare paralegal to join their team on an interim basis. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who might be looking to break into public sector children's work following previous experience in private practice. Alternatively, you might be working for a local authority presently as a childcare paralegal and be ready to make a move to experience a different working dynamic.
As an experienced childcare paralegal you will be able to support a team of solicitors on their cases. Daily duties shall be largely determined by your previous experience, but may include:
- Filing and serving Court documents ensuring compliance with Court directions.
- Liaising with counsel, social workers, agencies and experts.
- Collating evidence for Court.
- Drafting care applications, thresholds, case summaries, letters of instruction and discharge of care cases.
- Preparing bundles and serving documents.
- Issuing new cases to court, namely care applications, placement, revocation of placement and discharge applications.
This is a full time role which requires office presence 5 days a week and offers great potential to build on an existing skill set for a childcare paralegal looking to take on more responsibility.
You must be available to start work imminently and willing to learn. In return, you will join a fun, friendly and supportive team who will guide and support you to settle in to the organisation.
