Commercial Contracts Lawyer required to join a County Council based in Hertfordshire for an initial 3 months contract and the view to extend further.
This client can offer a wide and interesting caseload with a focus on delivering risk-focussed legal advice and making the best decisions for their service area and service users. You will be undertaking a range of commercial contracts and procurement work on behalf of the council but also for District and Borough's in the area along with the Fire and Rescue service and Local Economic Partnership giving you some really interesting work. They also provide advice to schools and academies as well as their trading arm.
You will have the opportunity to undertake advice in relation to companies and other delivery models including data protection, information governance and IPR. Other commercial matters include service, works, construction, goods, OJEU and non OJEU procurements including variations.
This council offers an attractive hourly rate and can offer an element of home working and flexibility for the right candidate. They have free parking on site and excellent transport links from London.
