A Junior Contract Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in the Southern Home Counties on a locum basis to assist with commercial contract work until they recruit permanently later in the summer.
Our client is a lovely local authority which is easily commutable from London. You will be joinin a small legal services team and will be either coming in at a newly qualified level or up to 2-3 years PQE.
The successful Contract Lawyer will be undertaking their own caseload of commercial contract matters which will range from goods and services, framework agreements, call off agreements and other routine contract matters for the authority. You will be able to undertake your own matters which will include amending, drafting and negotiating with minimal supervision and be confident with advising the clients on EU procurement advice also.
Due to this role requiring minimal supervision, our client is looking for candidates with previous experience of working within a local authority ideally however we are interested in hearing from candidates within all sectors. The post will start from the beginning of March and you will be working remotely for the role however there may be office presence required 1-2 days per week post covid.
