Locum Litigation Lawyer
£35 - £42 per hour
0161 834 1642
Litigation Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in Essex on a locum basis for a period of 3-6 months and potentially longer due to permanent recruitment being on hold.
Our client is ideally seeking someone who is able to conduct both criminal and civil litigation matters as part of a varied caseload of the council. Therefore you will be required to undertake matters in prosecutions which include planning enforcement, fly tipping to name a few and housing related matters with some civil litigation matters such as debt recovery. We appreciate that candidates may not be able to undertake all of the matters above and as such our client is happy to train the candidate on areas in which they may lack as long as they are willing to develop new areas.
You will also be required to undertake advocacy in both the Magistrates and County Court. The role will be undertaken remotely due to the period of lockdown and most matters in Court are being postponed for now. The role will require office presence once the lockdown is lifted.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
