Locum Planning Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Northamptonshire on an interim basis for a period of 3 months but with the view to go on a rolling contract thereafter.

The successful planning lawyer will be joining one other lawyer and you will be overseeing the work for 3 small District and Borough councils. The work will range from routine to complex planning matters which will include some litigious related planning matters as well.

Matters will include;

  • S106 agreements and minimal S38
  • Tree preservation orders
  • Planning injunction (travellers) and appeals
  • Planning advice
  • Judicial review
  • Planning committee (via video conferencing currently)

The post will be conducted remotely for the period of lockdown and then they are keen for someone to attend the offices at least 2 days per week with the rest being remote. The role can be conducted on either a 4 or 5 day week and is flexible regarding working hours.
