Locum Principal Planning Lawyer

Remote working

South East

£55 per hour

Locum Principal Planning Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in the South East on a completely remote working basis for a period of 3-6 months initially and the view to extend thereafter.

Our client is looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer that is able to undertake a reduced caseload of complex S106 and S278 agreements, providing complex planning advice. Whilst undertaking your own caseload, you will also be responsible for managing 2 lawyers who are experienced and 1 paralegal.

The role will require some light touch management which will include delegation of matters, appraisals and reviews, maintaining relationships with existing clients but also building relationships with new clients also.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Planning Lawyer who is looking to make that next step in their career or for someone who has already got previous managerial experience and is keen to continue in their professional development. The organisation has some fantastic development work which will be exciting to work on.

The client is happy for someone to work this role remotely so offers the opportunity to anyone in the country, they are well equipped with team meetings and committees being virtual and this is working well.
