Locum Senior Childcare Lawyer with management responsibilities

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Senior Childcare Lawyer with management responsibilities. This post will be joining a large shared service arrangement for a period of 6-12 months initially whilst they recruit on a permanent basis. The post are offering fully remote working basis for this making this a great opportunity not to be missed.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Childcare lawyer that ideally has previous management experience but our client is also happy to consider those lookinh to gain management experience.This is a great opportunity for those ooking to move to the next step up in their career or alternativewly; those looking to continue with their professional development with a large childcare team in a wider shared service arrangement.

This role will bring challenges but is highly rewarding and will provide long term prospects for those who are considering permanent opportunities also.

The successful Senior Childcare Lawyer will be responsible for the following duties;

  • Have direct report of 5-6 Childcare lawyers
  • Oversee the wider childcare team alongside another Senior lawyer with management and two Principal Lawyers in the East Midlands office
  • Attend management meetings and assist the Head of Childcare with improvements across the service
  • Streamlining processes and support with recruitment
  • 1-2-1s, appraisals, training and support for team members

Our client is keen to hear from candidates that have experience in public childcare law and those from either a public or private sector background. They must have an understanding of how a local authority operates and the procedures within this.
