Management Accountant

Sellick Partnership have an exciting opportunity for 2 Qualified Management Accountants to join a market leading service organisation. Due to recent PE Investment the Finance Team is growing in size.

Looking for 2 qualified Management Accountant candidates who can identify, prepare and present key analytics from concept to launch.

Main responsibilities will include provision of analysis for all key areas of business performance, with specific focus on the following Key Deliverables:

  • Provide financial evaluation, analysis and advice on key business areas
  • Challenging and engaging the business; sharing findings of analysis with effective relationship building
  • Sharing best practices for enhancing margin and reducing costs across the business
  • Preparation and delivery of weekly management accounts for each division of the business
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly management results for sales and margin that provides analysis of the actual results, monthly, year to date; and versus forecasts and budget
  • Proactively provide information and insight that helps the management teams to make better decisions on how to deliver a balanced set of results
  • Completion of the daily bank reconciliations for each of the business' bank accounts
  • Support the production of the forecast and budget process for the group and ensure that they are fully understood and owned by the stakeholders
  • Identify financial control issues arising out of new initiatives in the business, and take action or escalate them in order to maintain adequate controls
  • Carry out full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Create insight and trend reports that highlight to the business any risks or opportunities

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Full or Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
  • Proven track record in delivery of monthly management accounts
  • Experience of business partnering at Senior Management / Director level
  • Proven analytical skills backed up by excellent commercial acumen
  • In depth knowledge of MS Excel, financial software packages and job management systems
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret large quantities of data
  • Management and Financial Accounting experience in a commercial environment
  • Budget and Forecast preparation and monitoring
