Newly Qualified Contract Lawyer
£37,000 - £42,500
6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Newly Qualified Contract Lawyer is required to join a local authority on a 6 month fixed term contract period with the view to further extend depending on workloads.
You will be joining a fantastic team of around 5-6 lawyers and have support from the Principal Contract Lawyer who is a great mentor. You will ideally have previous experience of undertaking a caseload of routine JCT and NEC contracts as this would be the majority of the work you would be dealing with.
There is scope to get involved in a number of projects across the team which would widen your legal expertise within the area of contracts. Our client is ideally seeking someone who has undertaken a training contract seat within commercial contracts or someone who is qualified around 1-2 years PQE as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. Our client would consider taking on a very experienced paralegal also.
Our client is currently working remotely but they are keen to have some office presence once the lockdown starts to ease however would consider remote working for the duration of the contract. Our client is open to considering candidates at all levels from Newly qualified through to the more experienced candidates but feels the work would suit a more junior candidate.
We encourage interested applicants seeking part time or full time to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
