Legal Services Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Interim Legal Services Manager to join one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country on an interim basis.

As Legal Services Manager you will report to the Deputy Chief Nurse and Deputy Director of Risk, Governance and Safety. You will have significant experience in handling inquests, clinical negligence and personal injury claims within the NHS and will have primary responsibility for the management of these on behalf of the Trust. You will also be expected to be proficient at advocating on behalf of the Trust, particularly in relation to inquest matters and in providing support to staff who are required to attend Court.

You will work alongside the other Legal Services Manager to develop efficient legal processes and procedures in line with best practice. You will also line manage members of the legal department and ensure the provision of a supportive legal service for all staff, promoting learning through working in partnership with clinical services, embedding the Trust's risk management strategy.

The key requirements for the role of Legal Services Manager:

  • Significant Inquest experience
  • Experience in advocating on behalf of an NHS Trust
  • Experience working as a Head of Legal/ Legal Services Managers within Local Government
  • Experience working within an NHS Trust
